Follow these steps to optimize your first image with AI Image SEO. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes.

Get Your API Key
Choose an AI provider and get your API key:n- **OpenAI**: Create an account at platform.openai.com and generate an API keyn- **Anthropic**: Sign up at console.anthropic.com for Claude accessn- **Google**: Visit aistudio.google.com for Gemini API keys

Configure the Plugin
Go to **Media > AI Image SEO > Settings** and:n1. Enter your API key in the appropriate fieldn2. Select your preferred AI modeln3. Choose your target languagen4. Click **Save Settings**

Open an Image
Navigate to **Media > Library**, find any image, and click to edit. You’ll see the AI Image SEO panel on the right side.

Generate with AI
Click **Optimize All with AI** to generate alt text, title, and caption automatically. The AI will analyze your image and provide optimized content.

Review & Save
Review the AI-generated content, make any adjustments if needed, and click **Save** to apply the changes.
Pro Tip
Use the ‘Custom Prompt Addon’ field to add context like ‘for a cooking blog’ or ‘for an e-commerce product page’ to get more relevant AI suggestions.
Understanding the Results
After AI optimization, you’ll see the SEO Score panel showing your image’s optimization level. The score is based on:
- Alt text presence and quality (40% weight)
- Title attribute optimization (25% weight)
- Filename SEO-friendliness (20% weight)
- Caption/description presence (15% weight)

Now that you’ve optimized your first image, try bulk optimization to process multiple images at once. Go to Media > AI Image SEO > Bulk Optimize.
